Our all-inclusive program combines group classes and private lessons for tailored instruction, while students engage in productions modeled after our acclaimed Mainstage shows, using the same professional resources. Theatrical Excellence

Our carefully designed curriculum covers every aspect of theatre education, fitting seamlessly with rehearsal schedules for our professional-level productions. Our Conservatory productions are modeled after our award-winning professional shows, sharing resources and creative teams. We don’t think of our educational productions and classes as “Children’s Theatre”, but pre-professional experiences for everyone from the casual theatre enjoyer to the career-driven performer.

Unified Education

We guide your child’s progress through group classes, private lessons and productions to ensure their growth. Our instructors, directors and design teams work together to tailor instruction and track progress, ensuring a unified educational experience across all disciplines. One semester gives you access to every theatre class for your age group—no need to juggle multiple theatres, schools or private coaches!

Academic Resources

Thanks to the support and funding from The Children’s Trust, we are proud to offer free academic tutoring and supplemental theatre classes, included in the purchase of a semester. There’s always something to take advantage of during your after-school day at Area Stage!

WHAT IS ACADEMIC SUPPORT?

Once enrolled in a semester, you have FREE access to Academic Support and Theatre Appreciation before and after classes or rehearsals.

**Academic Support (6+ yrs)**

**Weekdays 4PM-8PM**
**Students will work on school materials with the guidance of one of our dedicated tutors before and after rehearsals or classes.**

**Theatre Appreciation (6+ yrs)**

**Weekdays 3:30 - 5PM**
**Students will engage in guided discussions about theatre appreciation, history and techniques with one of our passionate theatre instructors.**

SCHOLARSHIPS

NO BARRIERS FOR ARTISTS.

Area Stage offers $100,000 in scholarships every year. Eligibility for an award will depend upon the applicant's demonstrated financial need and overall merit as determined by the Theatre Directors. We offer partial and full scholarships.

Awards vary and are renewable each year, provided that the recipient reapplies and continues meeting all eligibility requirements, including volunteer hours. Scholarships do not include production videos, merchandise, private lessons, or tickets.
